![]() Step #1 1) Slide the eyes onto the hook using the hole provided in the Eyes-n-Tube “Y” tube eye. |
![]() Step #2 2) Slide the Eyes-n-Tubes out of the way and tie in approximately 10 pieces of orange buck tail. |
![]() Step #3 3) Place 2 strands of Pearl crystal flash over the orange buck tail, 1 strand per side. |
![]() Step #4 4) Add approximately 20 strands of polar bear hair evenly around the orange buck tail. |
![]() Step #5 5) Secure the Polar bear, crystal flash and buck tail. Add cement or glue and slide eyes into place. |
![]() Step #6 6) Tie the eyes in place and make a nicely tapered under body. Add a thin layer of cement for added strength. |
![]() Step #7 7) Add approximately double the amount of Polar bear that you applied to the bend end of the fly. |
![]() Step #8 8) Tie down the Polar bear hair. |
![]() Step #9 9) Add another light amount of Polar bear and whip finish the fly. |
![]() Step #10 10) Cement your thread. |
![]() Step #11 11) Trim your fly to desired shape. |
MATERIALS: – Daiichi size 2 salt water hook – Polar bear or craft hair – Orange buck tail – 2.4 gr or 5.4 gr 14 mm “Y”style Eyes-n-Tube – Light pink Thread – 2 strands of pearl crystal flash |
